The Ludwig Acrolite aluminum snare is a versatile snare drum and prized by users. Ask most drummers what’s in their snare arsenal and most will tell you they have at least one Acrolite ready to go. Although originally intended as an inexpensive snare drum for students, word quickly got out that this “cheap” actually sounded great, more than holding its own with Ludwig’s other more expensive snares like the Supraphonic and Black Beauty. The fact that the Acrolite snare drum continues to be produced today (from its start in the 60s) is further proof that this drum remains a classic and enduring entry in the Ludwig product roster.
Combining tone and crack with musical overtones, the Ludwig Acrolite Aluminum Snare Samples IIb set of snare samples will work well for many styles of music, including rock, punk, funk and alt rock.
Included in this download set are unprocessed stereo 24-bit WAV samples that are ready to go “as is” or ready for user-defined character with EQ and compression. The samples include both right and left hand hits, cross stick samples, and flams.
