February 2010- New Drum Sample Downloads are finally in!
We know we have taken some time in getting up new drum samples, but look for a number of new, freshly-recorded samples during the month of February. And, to kick it off, we put up a highly-requested drum - the venerable Ludwig Black Beauty snare! This tasty all-time classic snare will work perfectly in a wide range of musical applications, including rock, alt rock, and acoustic rock.
New drums added:
The Ludwig Black Beauty comes as it should: clean, dry, and pure – allowing for complete control over processing. Use it "as is" or adjust to taste. It really is a sweet sounding set of snare samples - just under 50 MB of sonic goodness!
The Pearl Dennis Chambers 14" Maple Signature Edition snare drum is a beauty - one of the best maple snares you will find. A great drum for pop, rock, and funk tunes. Maple drums are known for their warmth and projection and this drum has it all. And, despite the warmth of maple, It has plenty of attack. The thick woody character of this drum will be a solid backbeat without getting in the way.
A versatile Yamaha 14" Steel Snare is an incredibly versatile recording snare. A great drum for pop, rock, and funk tunes. Bright, full tone with a frequency range from mid to high. It has plenty of attack and some nice open ring to it (typical of metal snare drums). Add compression and this snare will pop through any mix.

After numerous requests for a sample set featuring brushes, we put together a tasty set of over 100 MB of downloadable
drums and cymbal samples from a Yamaha Recording Custom drumset. Although perfect for anything country, this one can work perfectly for a wide range of musical applications, including rock, alt rock, and acoustic rock.
Available as instant downloads, the Nashville Sticks and Brushes sample pack offers clean 24-bit
acoustic WAV format multi-velocity samples, extensively recorded to breathe some acoustic life into your drum tracks. It comes in two distinct flavors: a full sample set played with brushes and a second sample set played with sticks (for the more rocking stuff!).
The sounds are clean, dry, and pure – allowing for complete control over processing. Of course, the Yamaha Recording Custom is one of (if not the) most recorded drumkits in history. And, to bring it to life, we found one of the best drum rooms in Nashville to capture the sounds!

July 2007-Some New Sounds!
We just released two new sample sets - a slamming Pearl Maple kick and a tasty Ludwig Supraphonic snare. A lot of requests have come in for a quintessential "metal" kick, the kind with low-end balls and "in your face" beater attack. The Pearl SRX maple kick should help out in that department. As for the Ludwig Supraphonic? A tasty addition to any rock track for sure. Bright, full of body, medium sustain. Fire these into your SoundReplacer or Drumagog and add some life to some otherwise lifeless tracks you may have lying around!

June 2007 - A Thank You and More Sounds Coming Soon!
It has been a busy few months here at Drum Werks, with many new instruments getting recorded and processed for release. But, we wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and support of our products. We may not be releasing the drum sounds at a breakneck pace but we're taking the time to listen to feedback and note all requests for the drum sounds most needed by musicians the world over. So, thanks to everyone for taking the time to send us their thoughts and reflections via email.

We will continue to stock the shelves with more and more cymbals and drums - there really is a ton of stuff lying around the studio just dying to be sampled and put to good use by all of you out there.
