This 7" x 14" Brass Snare has lots of thick body and can be quite loud (though not so much with this tuning).  You get warm, fat sounds with this low-medium tuning that still have enough crack to cut through a dense mix. The Yamaha Brass Nouveau Snare embodies a good balance of brightness and warmth that works well in many musical situations. In this fatback tuning, it will work well in any pop track needing a thick, vintage snare tone; it will always work well in acoustic material such as country and singer-songwriter styles. The set includes full snare hit, flam, and cross-stick samples. Released February 2010.
